Wow, up until this post I thought Dynabook was an extension of Best Buy's Dynex discount house brand. Talk about a big branding failure.

It’s worth pointing out the default warranty on HP Elitebooks is 1 year and can be extended to 3 years, in my experience for $60-$100 depending on the model. You have to special order (CTO) to get a longer warranty (4 years) like Dynabook is offering.

I’m happy to see more people doing this, and I wonder what their accidental damage protection covers? HP ADP covers liquid spills but only if it’s water, even black coffee or black tea are excluded.

You can solve that problem completely by only drinking non-coductive liquids.

Huh, must be regional approach... all Elitebooks come with default 3 years NBD on-site warranty here in New Zealand. And you can order additional 1 or 2 years of NBD warranty for every model, standard or CTO. It has been like that for as long as I am aware - almost 15 years now - maybe before as well.

Even ProBook 600 series were coming with 3 years NBD warranty by default, until a few years ago when warranty ahs dropped to 1 year. You can still order them with extended warranty, for extra cost.
