Computex 2012: The Rosewill Booth

Ever wanted a 1600W 80 PLUS Silver power supply? Rosewill will sell you one with 16 6+2 PCIe connectors. Dubbed the Hercules, Rosewill are aiming for a unique individual – one willing to pair a dual processor system with several GPUs that have tri 6-pin power connectors.
On the case side, Rosewill were happy to describe their main 2012 top end chassis – the Throne. Featuring an interesting concept on the top of the case – at the movement of a slider, the top panel will open to improve airflow out of the top of the case, or close to reduce dust getting into the case. The Throne features enough space for 10 3.5" SATA drives, XL-ATX and E-ATX motherboards, and should retail for $179.
Also on display was a nice extra long ‘mid-tower’ sized case. Designed to accommodate the super sized graphics cards, Rosewill predict that the Armor will be one of their top selling chassis at the $149 mark.

Pretty cool stuff and sweet looking case.However, the auto opening vents were done in 2010 by an individual case modder. Here is a page that has links to the original video, photos and worklog links:

They basically just aped the NZXT Switch 810 idea, but half assed it, as the Switch has slits that move back and forth, not just little flaps that barely open.

I find this pretty amusing as Rosewill products are known to be budget quality parts here in the US. With these prices, I'm even thinking they are unreasonable given Rosewill's reputation of offering budget parts. You're not exactly missing out.Godofmosquitos - Thursday, June 14, 2012 - link
Well, Rosewill cases usually get some pretty good reviews here on Anandtech. The Thor V2 seemed to have a superb balance between cooling and noise, in the review Anandtech threw it. Rosewill are Newegg's house brand. I had the chance to speak to their marketing, and ask about the UK/EU, given that's where I'm from. It's on the cards - they're establishing themselves as a brand and then expanding into new markets.Ian
