Under Windows 2000 using
the FAT 32 file system, the drives perform identically, and finish in the same
order, as they did Windows 98 and NT4. The Seagate Barracuda, confirming itself
as superior in raw disk transfer speed, leads the group by quite a margin. The
IBM Deskstar 34 GXP and WD Expert again turn in identical results for second
place.
